Rough is an artificial golf turf system used for golf rough areas that replicate real on-course conditions of natural long grass zones with higher pile height and dense fiber arrangement. Usually 20–30 mm taller than fairway turf, it offers a natural visual and playing contrast between different areas of the course. The rough turf structure recreates the resistance and feels of challenging surface, and helps players refine shot control and prepare for real-world play.
